gift wrapping with fabric … for valentines day

If you have any left over fabrics at home, they can be used creatively to wrap gifts. Fabrics are a fantastic way to wrap gifts and the advantage is that you can re-use them for re-wrapping. It will provide texture and interest and also can be very colourful. You can use contrasting strips of fabrics in place of ribbons or leftover satin ribbons. Any type of leftover thread or wool if used creatively, can also replace expensive ribbons.

Here I have used a relatively shabby chic pistachio cotton fabric, loosely wrapped around the gift. I did not pin it anywhere, nor did I use any glue or cellotape to bind it. I could do this because I had a reasonable amount of fabric to spare. The traditional ribbon was replaced by a leftover strip of chiffon chikan material.

Hope you like it and thanks for passing by.

Don’t forget to check my company this summer. The website is under construction. Thanks
